Helicopter Superiority (Conquest)

Multiplayer

A recreation of BF4 China Rising's helicopter-only Air Superiority in BF6. Operation Firestorm, 16 vs 16 using AH-64 and Eurocopter, automatic heli spawns on deploy, HQ protection to prevent spawncamping, and a single capture point at the center of the map. Also AI backfill, though AIs don't work quite yet. Thanks a lot to andy6170 for the custom Conquest logic.

Gamemode is still a bit WIP, so some areas that still need improvement:

  • Bots don't want to move towards the objective, they will just sit on the landing pad until an enemy gets within range. AI_Waypointpath in Godot might be the solution, but I'm yet to get it to work.

  • Loadout is locked to the Portal default (aim-guided rockets and aim-guided missile). It seems to be a Portal limitation for now? Will fix if proven otherwise.

  • The map could use more terrain for cover, I'll see about adding it over the next few days.

  • Small nitpick, but match timer goes down 2 seconds at a time rather than one. I'll get that fixed as soon as I find a reliable way for it.

  • Depending on feedback, may increase capture point boundary. May also add more capture points if requested.
