Solo
judgeshredd's fully immersive free for all experience, tailored to the entire Exposure map. Designed with the solo gamer at heart.
As a solo gamer, there are very few arcade style shooters that cater to us. It makes sense, gaming as a community is a beautiful thing, there's no doubt about that. But what about the guys n girls who want to just put on music, run around massive maps and rack up kills?
I burnt myself out trying to continuously enjoy BF2042's Co-op/Solo Breakthrough modes. Really bad latency, horrific team ai, just the inability to progress because ai enemies don't strategise. Those things built up on me, creating a generally unenjoyable gaming experience, leading me to delete the game multiple times. With my own Portal experiences, I have effectively eliminated all three of those issues. Portal servers (for reasons unbeknownst to me) work better then BF2042's Breakthrough ones, and no teams, just a massive free for all with no HUD to break your immersion. It's just as limited as the regular modes, as Portal doesn't offer as wide of a range of AI modifiers, but I think I would rather be able to run around entire maps, occasionally being blasted by AI, over being stuck playing two objectives with AI squadmates that don't exit tanks, ever.
These were designed for myself, for what I as a gamer wish to get out of a BF2042 gaming session.
